Specifications for Twin BNC

_____________________________

Twin BNC Series connectors (also called BNO type) are weatherproof and mechanically as stable as the standard BNC connectors. These connectors have a unique polarized contact assembly and a two-stud bayonet coupling mechanism which provides quick connect and disconnect. These connectors have a nominal impedance of 100 ohms and are matched to twinaxial (twin conductor) data transmission cables. These connectors will not mate with standard BNC types.

Crimp or Solder Plug
Twin BNC plugs are available in three assembly styles: solder/clamp, standard crimp, and Bomar’s exclusive SATCONN™ (Simplified Assembly Technique Connector) The solder/clamp type requires no special tooling, the standard crimp version requires the use of commercially available specialized tooling. This tooling can be rather expensive. The standard crimp types have vent holes for optional soldering. The Satconn™ type uses Bomar’s inexpensive standard crimp tool.
