Ledgewood, NJ: Bomar Interconnect Products,
Inc., a leading manufacturer of quality connectors and accessories for voice, data and
broadcast transmission, released the V-Bite RF Connector in PCB Mount BNC,
Twin BNC, Mini-BNC and TNC styles
in addition to the original PCB Mount "F". Bomar's President, Bob Behrent,
announced the new styles' availability. The
edge board connectors' unique V-Bite
design enables high anti-rotation abilities plus an extremely stable and durable
connection in a wide array of video related consumer products including cable TV, MATV and
CCTV. These small footprint, low- profile (1/2 the connector's diameter) connectors snap
and lock into place for secure board retention during hand or reflow
soldering. As they are
supported both above and below the PCB, stress to the solder contact area is minimized.
The 50 ohm V-Bite additionally boasts an extremely low reflection factor with a VSWR of
1.15:1 due to its straight-through contact design. To facilitate infrared
reflow soldering
the connector to a board, a Teflon insulator is available upon request.
