  Ledgewood, NJ, June 15, 2009…Bomar Interconnect Products, Inc., a premier manufacturer, and designer of quality connectors and accessories for RF, video and broadcast transmission, released the female Type BMR®   connector, the first member of Bomar’s new 8 GHz BMR Series of PC board connectors for wideband HDTV transmission.  The result of a three-year design initiative, the BMR Series boasts proprietary connector technology to meet the signal quality requirements of such large-scale satellite TV providers as Dish Network and Direct TV, and has no equivalent in today’s connector market.  BMR connectors are RF engineers’ ideal interface solution for applications in which signals are deployed throughout such facilities as office complexes, hotels, hospitals, and high-rise residential properties.F connecto rhigh frequency                                                                                                                                                                 

Traditional 3 GHz Type F connectors are adequate for many HDTV applications, but cannot accommodate the extreme bandwidth required to maintain the HD signal to hundreds of TVs throughout a building.  BMR connectors, when employed in RF circuits designed for them, virtually ensure the integrity of signals due to their proprietary engineering.  The new 75-ohm interfaces are rated to 8 GHz (test well to 10 GHz), and engineered to only mate with 8 GHz parts and accessories.  Featuring an open-top design, connectors mount to the PCB to support optimal grounding and inductance, and feature a contact pin placement that facilitates low overall capacitance.
